“Everybody belongs to the same Body of Christ. This radio station is part of that Body.”
—Lorena Albarrán, General Manager, Radio Santísimo
Though programs on Immaculate Heart Radio and articles in our Catholic Herald magazine have long communicated the word of Jesus Christ to our diocese, we also needed to reach out to our Spanish-speaking community. With Radio Santisimo, we are beginning to do just that. The Diocese launched the Spanish-language Radio Santísimo to reach our growing Latino community. The station produces a variety of local programs, including specialized programs for young adults, a review of Catechism and a discussion of the Sunday Gospel.
Focusing on COMMUNICATIONS will make us stronger as ONE:
- Radio Santísimo Expansion: $1.5 million
We will expand our outreach to meet the needs of all Hispanics in our faith community. With a large volunteer base that does outreach to more than 35 parishes within its listening boundaries and regularly provides public service announcements for parish and diocesan activities, Radio Santísimo is making the mission of new evangelization a reality in our diocese.
