What if we knew the Lord was coming soon?
What if we knew the Lord was coming soon? How would that change the decisions we make today? In the gospel of Luke, when Zacchaeus knew that Jesus was coming to his home, he gave away half of what he owned to the poor. He quickly reconciled with anyone he had offended and repaid them four times more than the harm he had done.
In this Advent Season, the ONE Campaign helps us respond to the news that the Lord is coming. Like Zacchaeus in the gospel, we can be eager to serve the poor, deepen our faith, and bring together the resources to make a difference in the lives of children and young people.
Jesus said to the wily tax collector of Jericho, “Hurry down quickly, I must stay at your house today.” (Luke 19:5) He says the same to us this Advent Season. What will we do? May we all receive the grace to do so gladly because the Lord is coming. As St. Paul told the Romans, “Our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed; the night is advanced, the day is at hand..” (Romans 13:11-12)

ONE inspires our schools
The 14,000 students in our Catholic schools have paved the way to meeting Bishop's Soto's challenge—by pledging 1.5 million service hours and 4 million faith formation hours to the ONE Campaign. It is confirmation that our legacy—our children—will carry on our faith. We are proud of the students and thankful to all you who have committed to the ONE Campaign.
